About ASLO Aquatic Sciences Meeting
The theme for this year’s meeting is Taking the Aquatic Pulse. Like our personal health, we must consider how today’s choices affect the environment tomorrow. Durable human-made materials like microplastics and PFAS accumulate, causing unforeseen issues. Challenges like climate change, industrial byproducts, and tourism pressure ecosystems. Addressing these requires understanding history, current conditions, and future goals for sustainability. Since all water systems are interconnected, assessing and caring for aquatic environments is as vital as managing our own health.
