Needle Sensor
You can get all our microsensors equipped with a steel needle. This modification is useful if you are measuring through a rubber septum, or in coarse or hard samples where a hole has been drilled prior to microsensor measurements.
We insert the microsensor tip into a steel needle to provide the sensor with maximal strength on the longitudinal axis. However, due to the larger sensor tip diameter, we do not recommend that you apply needle sensors for microprofiling in sediment or biofilm.
