Combine business and science as our Technical Sales Scientist

You will need your research experience and knowledge of science as Technical Sales Scientist for Unisense A/S. Your job will be to connect with PhDs, postdocs, and professors across the US and Canada to help them find the right solution for their microsensor measurements.

You must appreciate helping others succeed and seeing their research published. And you must enjoy landing the sale you have worked on for days, weeks, months, maybe even years.

Work from home with 4-5 business trips per year

You will work from home with all the flexibility you need to balance work, family, and your interests. However, this requires you to be a disciplined person, as we strive to answer clients within a day.
You will take part in 3-4 conferences across the US each year, and we will invite you to Denmark for training every 12 to 18 months. You will start your job with training in Denmark to learn everything you need to represent Unisense to researchers in North America. If you already have experience working with Unisense microsensors, you will be one step ahead of the other applicants.

Your colleagues in Denmark

Your primary colleagues in Denmark are the sales team with PhDs in biogeochemistry, microbiology, nanoscience, molecular biology, as well as a highly skilled marketing team. Our current representative is looking forward to his retirement after 13 years with the company. So, this is a rare opportunity, and we hope our next colleague will grow with us for years to come.

  • Travel to 3-4 conferences per year and training in Denmark every 12-18 months

  • We will offer you a competitive salary plus an added commission-based bonus.
Who we think you are

You might currently work within research as a postdoc or similar, and you are looking for a commercial role, where you can apply your research experience and knowledge of science.

You may already have experience with Unisense microsensors from your own research, and you would enjoy helping other researchers succeed in their work with microscale measurements. In addition to building these relationships, you enjoy the thrill of closing a sale.

A bit of our 25-year history

Unisense was established in 1998 by seven university scientists with years of experience in developing, constructing, and applying microsensors. The team developed a series of measuring principles and innovative sensors with initially three international patents. Unisense continues to grow with focus on production of sensors and measuring equipment as well as specialized development of measuring principles for a wide range of applications.
